Information on the website
Stuk.fi is the online service of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority, Finland (STUK), which is administered by STUK’s Communications.
The service is provided in Finnish and Swedish. Some of the content is also available in English.
Monitoring the use of the online service (cookies)
Statistical data are collected of the use of the online service and utilised to develop the website. The data include visitor numbers, service entry method, usage time, visited pages and browser.
Topical contents
STUK’s press releases and webnews can be read as an RSS feed. ProInfo newsletters (in Finnish) are intended for professionals in radiation practices. Newsletters are free of charge and can be ordered to an e-mail using online forms.
Publications
STUK’s publications are published in the Julkari electronic publication archive, from which lists are also obtained for STUK’s online service. STUK’s own publications are published in full as PDF files. The foreword and abstract are also published or some of the publications in html format. STUK’s electronic publications are free of charge.
Attachments
Most of the attachments in the online service are PDF files. A reader program, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, is needed for opening the files. The program can be downloaded free from the Adobe website.
Search
The search covers the whole website content, pages, attachments and contact information. The search results are presented on the Site, Publications and Persons tabs on the search result page.
Copyrights and responsibilities
Rights to the material on the website are held by the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority. Links can be made to the online service freely and text can be borrowed from it provided that the source is indicated.
STUK seeks to ensure the correctness and updatedness of the information presented in its online service. STUK is not responsible for any inconvenience caused by a technical fault. STUK is not responsible either for material created by other parties and linked to the website.
The information in the online service and STUK’s own pictures and videos may be used if the source is mentioned but may not be edited or linked to a misleading context. If the rights for a picture are held by a photographer, image office or artist, this has been mentioned in the caption.

Technical implementation
Stuk.fi has been created using the Liferay EE 7.1 publishing system. The user interface is responsive, so it scales according to the user’s terminal device. The aim in planning the website’s appearance and the user interface was to reach the level AA of the WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines.
Feedback and contacts
You can submit page-specific feedback via the online service. The feedback form is shown in the lower part of each page.
You can send feedback about the Stuk.fi service or questions concerning the radiation and nuclear safety using the online form. Feedback can also be sent by e-mail to the address palaute (at) stuk.fi.
Official mail must be sent to the Registry to the address kirjaamo (at) stuk.fi.
The information submitted on the feedback and question forms of STUK’s online service is saved so that the sender can be contacted as hoped and feedback/inquiries can be answered.
