StandardsStandards are generally recommendations. Exceptionally, they may be binding. There are often references to standards in official guides, when there is a need to give authorities some examples of acceptable procedures. STUK has three important Finnish co-operation partners in standardisation. They are the Finnish Standards Association (SFS), the Finnish Electrotechnical Standards Association (SESKO) and Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority.
