Development of management options in RODOS Forest model

The aim of this study, included in EURANOS project (2004-2009), was to improve the applicability of the forest models of RODOS emergency response system particularly in preparation of intervention strategies for forests contaminated by deposited radionuclides.

The forest models FDMF (Forest food chain and dose model) and LCMforest (Late Countermeasure Model for forests), were completed and updated considering the results of another subproject of EURANOS, where a. o. the management options for contaminated forests were described in 2004-2006. The new versions of the two forest models have been integrated into the RODOS system.
