Analysis codes for alpha spectrometry

Aim of the study

The aim of the project is to develop the capability to perform analysis even for complicated alpha spectra.

Implementation

ADAM software can unfold alpha spectra, in which the shape of the alpha peaks is a convolution of the Gaussian and exponential shape. AASI software can also simulate other shapes that can be used in the analysis. The interface for the LINSSI database will be implemented for ADAM.

Dissemination and exploitation of the results

The results of the project are workable analysis codes for alpha spectrometry. The codes will be documented in manuals and in scientific journals, conference proceedings and reports. The results can be exploited in various applications, e.g. in nuclear safeguards or nuclear security (analysis of 210Po in the field).
