Radon at workplaces

Aim of the study

The study aims at creating an overview on indoor radon concentrations at Finnish workplaces based on the measurement data base of STUK.

Implementation

The laboratory creates a new database on radon measurements at workplaces since 2001. Workplace data is obtained from the questionnaire forms included in the ordered measurements. The data base will cover approx. 10.000 measurements. The type of workplace (office, industrial premises), air exchange strategy, number of workers and work times are included in the analysis. Analysis and report will be finalized in 2010.

Dissemination and exploitation of the results

The results will be published in a STUK-A report and international publications in 2009–2010.
