Electrical radiation devicesElectrical installations in medical facilities and repair work of electrical radiation devices is regulated by the Finnish Safety Technology Authority (TUKES) on the basis of the Electrical Safety Act (410/1996). Installation, repair work, and the maintenance of radiation devices also requires a safety licence issued by STUK. In accordance with Guide ST 1.4, the radiation safety officer or other employee of the licence-holder must be competent to direct the electrical work in question, as stipulated in the Electrical Safety Act.
