A free demo program
Hardware and software requirements:
The demo version of PCXMC is made from an outdated PCXMC version (PCXMC 1.5.1). It can be used for getting a feeling how PCXMC works. The program runs under Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP operating systems, but it is not compatible with Windows Vista. A PC with at least 1 GHz CPU speed and 20 MB free RAM is recommended. The program and data files require about 5 MB hard disk space.
You can download a free demo version of PCXMC 1.5.1 by clicking on the link below. This software can be used for 21 days free of charge. If the user will use PCXMC after that time period he must obtain the registered version of the program from STUK.
Instructions:
(I) To obtain the setup diskette:
- Click on the link "download PCXMCdemo" below. The file "PCXMCdemo.zip" will be downloaded to your computer, in the folder that you choose.
- Extract the files from PCXMCdemo.zip to an empty formatted diskette (1.44 MB).
- The diskette should now contain ten files (1.37 MB), and is your setup diskette for PCXMCdemo. (You may now delete the file PCXMCdemo.zip from your hard disk; this file is no longer needed.)
(II) To install the program:
- Put the setup diskette (obtained by the steps 1-3 above) in the diskette drive.
- Click the "Start"-button on your taskbar.
- Choose "Run.."
- Type A:\setup
- Follow the instructions of the setup-program
- Follow the instructions of your operating system to start the program. If you wish, you can create a short-cut to the program file \PCXMCdemo\PCXMCdemo.exe on your desktop. For instructions, see the manual of your operating system. After creating the short-cut, check that the "start in" directory is set properly to "C:\Program Files\PCXMCdemo\MCRuns" (or to the corresponding MCRuns-folder, if you have changed the installation path). This can be done by clicking the short-cut with the right mouse button and choosing "properties".

(III) To remove the program from your PC:
- Click the "Start"-button on your taskbar.
- Select "Settings.."
- Select "Add/remove programs"
- Select "PCXMCdemo" from the program list and click "Add/Remove..."
- The "Add/Remove programs" does not delete any files that you have created in using the program. In order to remove also those files you should delete the whole \PCXMCdemo-folder by using the "Windows Explorer" or "MyComputer"-program.
